About the Outdoor Club
The WBC is located in Maresfield, East Sussex, just off the A22 and close to Ashdown Forest and Uckfield. The Club is an integral part of the Wealden Bowls Centre which has impressive bowling and social facilities.
Membership covers the use of the six rink all-weather green for a full year, with the main being held between April and late September.
If you would like to try your hand at Bowls, or perhaps you are already a bowler but may prefer to play on carpet, we are the place for you.
The six all-weather rinks of the Wealden Bowls Club provide an ideal playing surface for beginners, for experienced players and for those who are now less mobile. Come and give them a try. There is no obligation and we can provide bowls for you to use.
Competitive?
During the season we have over 50 matches against local clubs. Played on all surfaces these games will certainly hone your skills.
Relaxed?
Every week throughout the summer we have three "roll-up" sessions of casual bowling. There is also a programme of league and Club competitions culminating in Finals Day.
Raining Cats and Dogs, or even Snowing?
The six on-site indoor rinks are usually available in wet weather.
Enjoy good company?
Throughout the season there are a number of social events for members and their partners (with friends always welcome) that make use of the excellent social facilities at the Centre.
